An informative and educative program on Property Tax was organized by the C.C.A.C. of W.G.U. on March 7 at 5.00 p.m. in the Amy Rustomjee Hall. The keynote speaker was Advocate K.M. John who is an eminent advisor to many Housing Societies on legal and Property Tax matters.
The second speaker was Mr. Sunil Sawant from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai representing the B.M.C. at ‘A’ Ward. He discussed the nuances of the Property Tax bill.
The third speaker was Advocate Makarand Narwekar, the Municipal Councillor of ‘A’ Ward. He advised the audience that in order to keep the window open, to point out the discrepancies in taxation by writing to the concerned department in ‘A’ Ward office of B.M.C.
There was a question answer session after the talks by the three speakers. The audience enthusiastically participated in the debate.
