Energising Minds at the WGU Computer Centre
With the relaunch of the Computer Centre in April 2016, WGU has moved a step ahead in contributing to the cause of computer literacy at affordable fees. WGU Computer Centre offers a menu of courses to meet the needs of every age group and every level of competency: from ‘fun filled computer knowledge’ for smart kids, advanced packages for those with a knowledge of computers, to stimulating the minds of senior citizens with tailor made courses to meet their requirements.

“To interact with a bunch of students who are so keen on learning, to see their determination and dedication, be it old or young, and the excitement on their faces when they have learnt something new, is a truly joyful experience,” says Carmen D’Costa, WGU Computer Centre Coordinator.

It is encouraging to see that in a short span of a month, the Computer Centre has picked up with students ranging from 18 to 80 years, from various backgrounds, with a 60:40 female/male ratio. Advance bookings have also come in for courses starting in the next quarter.

We invite members to grab this golden opportunity and equip themselves with a course to suit their needs, as well as to spread the word to family and friends – male and female, boys & girls are all welcome to join this exciting world of computers!
