The Programme Committee of WGU organised this year's fund raiser at Mumbai's iconic Radio Club at Apollo Bunder. Well attended by members and friends of WGU, and also IFUWA delegates who were here from eight cities to take part in the Central Committee Meeting, it was a great success! The evening started with cutting the ‘Centenary Cake’ and lots of beautiful congratulatory messages from friends and well wishers. The President of IFUWA, Kumararani Dr Meena Muthiah, our Chief Guest was honoured with a shawl and flowers.
This was followed up by sparkling performances of the Ghoomar and Thali Dance from Rajasthan and the ever-popular Garba from Gujarat. The Watts Band had promised there would be something for everyone and they kept their word by serving up a musical bouquet of both Bollywood and Hollywood favourites. Truly a night of warm fellowship and many happy memories.
